  Sudden Knee Pain
Posted by: jaybreak - 07-29-2019, 11:25 AM - Forum: Prayer Requests - Replies (17)

When it rains, it pours?

Yesterday, after sitting with my son for maybe an hour, I got sudden right knee pain, as bad as a 5 out of 10, which has persisted so far. It doesn't hurt more when I move, which is good, but it's always there.

I took one of the wife's Rx ibuprofen horsepills last night, which worked great, but it wore off during the night and I woke up from the pain. So I took another one and got back to bed.

Now that 2nd dose wore off and it's back. Trying to hold off on taking more meds until bedtime, but it's pretty bad. Going to see the ortho if it persists the next few days.

It's not the end of the world for me but just seems really strange, as it came out of nowhere.

  On My Side
Posted by: jaybreak - 07-28-2019, 05:43 PM - Forum: Miscellaneous - Replies (5)

For us at Radix Fidem, not only has death lost its sting, it's also an ally.

Quote:I've been waiting
Give me a sign
There's nothing left to face
Only the time
I see shadows
Devils, decline
I've lost my faith in us
Found my design

So now
Where is the enemy?
I can feel no bite
Where is the enemy
When death is on my side?

Something building
Raging inside
This hope gave me release
Gave me a why
Can't shake this ground beneath
I came to fight

So now
Where is the enemy?
I can feel no bite
Where is the enemy
When death is on my side?

Consuming victory
The trumpets calling out to me by name
By name
No looming debt for me
No, death his will find his aim to be in vain
In vain

So now
Where is the enemy?
I can feel no bite
Where is the enemy
When death is on my side?

  Ed's New Blog
Posted by: jaybreak - 07-28-2019, 08:42 AM - Forum: Praises - Replies (4)

Wanted to give a praise report (I hate the phrase) on the migration of Ed's blog. There's lots of things that can go wrong with that sort of thing: moving to new server space, a new URL, new email, etc., but there were no disasters. A few things needed some extra love and attention but they are minor, considering the scope.

  Vietnam Protesters: Racist!
Posted by: IainH - 07-27-2019, 12:10 AM - Forum: Miscellaneous - Replies (3)

I was watching a clip of Vietnam War Protesters and saw a Gadsden flag and Franklins "Join or Die" flag. POSITIVE PROOF Vietnam Protesters were and shall remain, forever RACIST! Ouch, it hurts when you get ensnared by your own trap. Take that ya RACISTS!!! Their subsequent actions and protests on the successive issues are invalid because of their prior RACISM!!!

Turn about is fair play.

The preceding was humor and I only accept humor as a response. How ridiculous can we get? Personally, I'm a vast depositary of silliness, it's my stock and trade.
Ok enough aside, I gotta go back to my attempt at seriousness and finish my other post, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

  Tom's Big Project
Posted by: Ed Hurst - 07-25-2019, 07:24 PM - Forum: Prayer Requests - Replies (3)

Our brother Tom Hanson is generally reticent, so I'm asking on his behalf; I'll tell you what little I know. He's an engineer of some kind and has recently gotten a contract with the US Air Force. It will take him some 18 months to complete, and he really needs the work. His competence is not the issue, but there is some risk involved for him. I sense that this project will lead him to far greater blessings, so let's pray that he is able to push aside distractions and give the customer his very best.

  Gout
Posted by: IainH - 07-13-2019, 07:22 AM - Forum: Prayer Requests - Replies (6)

Uh... Let's see, this gout is not going away. Pretty much overnight I've had to change my diet and the "gout" diet is "if it tastes good? Spit it out".
Next time I'm told "you need to do better" in any area, I shall. If I had acted on what I was told, I don't think I would have gout. I had been told and didn't listen to the urgings of my friend Jesus who was trying to help. His Daddy acted to make it necessary for me to obey His will as to an overall healthy lifestyle.
Therefore, I highly recommend an immediate "yessir", followed by whatever action deemed applicable to the furtherance His Devine Awesomeness. So, please pray as led on this matter.
It's very simple eat good, do right and maybe this condition will improve. I am still working and I'm on my feet the whole time. Wednesday I managed 6 hours, yesterday it was 4 hours and I don't know how long I'll do today I'm shooting for 5.
So, guys and gal, help me here, put in a good word.
