It's predictable: As I get closer to this final mission adventure in my life, I'm catching flak. Some from those close enough to email and call me on the phone. That's okay; I expected that. It's healthy in a mystical covenant community that folks see things from their own sense of divine calling. We are not cookie cutter copies, and having to explain myself is not a hindrance.

But I'm also catching demonic flak, and that's a different thing altogether. Today there was a threat to my bicycle; I knew in my spirit it was not just a random event. And it wasn't so much the bicycle, but the warning that our Enemy is not happy with me.

I can tell you that WordPress is checking my posts on the old blog. It used to be really snappy, but now every post has a delay before it's published. Given the high speed connection I have in general, and how everything else about that blog is so very fast, a delay in publishing like that signals some kind of scripted AI searching of content. Longer posts take longer. I can't guess how it affects other folks on the same platform, but I know there's almost no other explanation for the change in my blog posting. And I can only guess what they are checking for.

Pray with me that I will be bold. It's part of the prayer for God to perform signs and wonders; we need to be bold in our witness.

This is the common assumption underlying the whole of Western Civilization as we know it today. I take the position that reality is best understood as a person. Thus, reality only appears to be stable and consistent across the human experience. Further, it is not possible to really know reality. There will always be surprises and things held back.

But it’s not that I say reality is that way, only that it is the best approach to consider it a person: sentient, active and willful. My experience with reality should be somewhat different, and yours is just as valid as mine. In that sense, reality is fungible — one person’s experience is just as good as another. We should avoid questioning someone else’s experience in that sense. We can surely decide their experience is too foreign to hang around them, but it serves no purpose to deny someone’s experience just because it is significantly different from ours.

This is why miracles are so rare in Western society. All of Creation should be treated as if it were alive, sentient and willful. Jesus spoke to the storm, spoke to dead bodies, and to invisible beings called “demons.” The results indicate that this is the way we should view the world in which we live.

My wife Jeane has a severe outbreak of Shingles that started a week ago Monday.  She is in severe pain and is unable to sleep more than an hour at a time.  Please pray for the healing of the Great Physician to touch her and restore her health.

Just thought I would share this photo I took in my backyard. I like it, and you don't see the telephone wires unless I point them out to you in the lower right, which I won't do.

It strikes me this would be about the right time to start praying together that the Lord would extend His hand to grant signs and wonders in our community. Further, it should extend to people who are simply sympathetic with our community. Folks are starving for the power of the Lord. His signs help people find out where His truth is taught.
