#1
Prayer for my dad, William, who will be having surgery Friday for removal of cancer deeply in his forehead. Also prayer for Gods will for or against reconciliation with my mom, we have been estranged many years, allow me to add the estrangement has ended alot of sin. May the Father forgive me. Thank you

Prayers will definitely be lifting for your father, Denise. May our heavenly Father bless all of the doctors and nurses and other medical staff as they prepare for the surgery. May He give them all compassion and patience and wisdom during his care. May the Lord grant you and your father and everyone peace in your hearts during this difficult time.

Father, I ask that You be with Denise in helping her to deal with her relationship with her mom. May Your peace and love fill Denise with wisdom and kindness and love and patience and understanding.

Do keep us posted, okay?

Thank you for all your prayers. Dad is doing really good, it was a 5 hour surgery. He is concerned with the scarring and his appearance, i took that as a good sign of health. Next Thursday he should know if they got it all. Gods will be done, glory. As far as my mom is concerned, I only seem to be getting the continued conviction to avoid all near occasion of sin. May the Father accept this as honor unto her and Him.

In Ephesians 6, Paul refers to the Breastplate of Righteousness. In battle, the function of a breastplate is to blunt an attack from someone who gets inside your shield and sword defenses. It's really hard to defend yourself against the sin of someone who really knows you all too well. It's the betrayal of trust that hurts so very much; you shouldn't have to worry about someone that close being your enemy. So the best spiritual defense is not your own righteousness, but the righteousness conferred by Christ. If you keep turning to the Holy Spirit speaking through your convictions, you'll be able to weather such attacks.
