Your junior elder is playing the "I'm just a trainee" card, here, which equates to an occasion of poor time management while working from home. I've been doing that since March, so you would think I would have a good rhythm by now--which I do--but it took a misstep this week.

Fortunately, I'll bet few of us forgot to pray. I'm at it often during the day, and it frequently features the regulars, whoever communicates with me often enough for me to remember their names. The notice is just a formality, anyway. Like any other ritual, it's more important to know why we do it than to actually do it.

Agreed. Same here, but I think it's good for me personally to have a set time once a week to dig my heels in.
