My son hooked me up with a guy who is interested in building high end upholstered furniture and I will be talking with him. Back in the 90's I helped several different people set up upholstery shops and they were highly profitable one time deals. Even though it has been a while, it is like riding a bicycle, you never forget. So maybe it will turn into something. I've found that economic downturns provide the best opportunities for starting manufacturing because, A- suppliers reduce prices and B- the competition is retrenching. Get your weegee board out and ask Ed Broyhill or read his biography, he built his company during the great depression. I haven't been excited about anything in a while so, it feels good to get my inner capitalist woke back up. Pray however you will.

Lots of good things can come out of disasters. Would've been better if there had been no stimulus (stimuleses? stimuli?), not even the consumer stimulus...so that there would be more assets sold from bankrupt companies. But then, I also think there should've been a universal jubilee for everyone, worldwide, which would've made your situation even better.

Either way, we will pray for your idea.

That brought a huge smile on my face Iain! I'm really happy for you and praying that this opportunity that has come up will become a reality for you and take advantage of the gifts that you have. The fact that it even presented itself is very inspiring to me. Especially during times like these.

The Lord is blessing many around me in ways no one could begin to imagine.  Once we take our eyes off the world and all its woes and focus on Him, oh my!
