He went to the ER almost 2 months ago and didn't say much about it, but took a trip yesterday and it all flared up on him. I guess this is the time of infirmity all over the place. We got a heap of praying to do.

Amen to that, Brother!  Gratefully, I have a profound sense of peace surrounding me.  There are a few folks close to me with burdens right now so this peace helps me to 'see' clearly and pray with clarity.   Definitely will hover over Tom tonight.  Well, I don't know how else to word that.

Acknowledged, y'all really don't wanna hear me praying. Well, I don't pray in any recognizable, conventional way. I talk to God in the same way as I talked with my Pops, informal and familiar. Only a person who really does know Him could come up with some of the stuff that passes for prayer. Well I ought not judge, I guess it depends on how you were raised.

In my daily goings on, i talk to the Lord all the time conversationally as He is my only companion here at home.  But when I have a bunch of serious stuff to ask about, I like to focus myself on Him with my whole self.  I picture each person, where they are, and pray to Him in my own little words with my heart.  No one prayed in my house growing up except the Catholic meal blessing that everyone of us memorized or the ones recited verbatim during every mass.  When i finally actually opened up and read a Bible  (KJV) at 28 years old, the Lord opened up my eyes to the Truth.  That was a real eye-opener for me, raising a lot of deep questions about the Catholic and all other religions.   Changed my life forever.

My nephews are RC, I like to remind them they are going to hell.

I know what you mean, Iain.  My "babies" are 39 and 42 and they always be my little girls.   Sounds like your son is a mighty strong fellow!  Goodness.

Yeah, he gets height from me and the men on my wife's side are barrels. Ain't I diplomatic.

Update: Tom says he's been released from the hospital. He had another God-incident with some staffer on her own time giving him a ride home. The Lord is confirming Tom's faith.

Wow.  I am in so much awe in our Father's continued and faithful blessings He showers upon us through so many different events in our lives.  It is defintely an awesome  and humbling thing to actually be able to recognize them and bask in His Glory as He works in and through us.  Praise His Holy Name.
