Surgery today
#1
So, in case I forgot to mention it, today I am having surgery on my left thumb for a "trigger thumb".  Minor outpatient, local numbing is all.  I will be leaving here in about half an hour to head on into Raleigh with my daughter.  Surgery is scheduled for between 8:30 and 8:45 am.   I should be home by 11 or noon.  A little prayer from y'all jic it is needed.

I read this just about the time the surgery was supposed to happen, but I'm praying anyway.

Well, Weds and Thurs were a little rough.  Today, no real pain to speak of.  I have been bending the interphalangeal joint of my left thumb (look it up tee hee) and i need to do it manually with my right hand to force it back and forth.  It will bend on its own but not very far.  Tomorrow, i can take the wrap off of my hand and wrist, wash the incision area, then cover it with a bandaid to keep the stitches from catching on stuff.  On the 20th, followup and get stitches removed.

So, trigger thumb is resolved; now to wait on complete healing and I will be good to go.  Yippee    Big Grin
