Just got a call from Lori. Nick collapsed in the shower, vomited, and evacuated his bowels. She is on her way to the hospital with him. I just went over to clean up the bathroom and I'm going to meet them there. Please pray that it's nothing serious. I'll give updates when I can. Thanks, family!

Just catching up on the post here, though Jay notified a couple of us by SMS last night. Indeed, let's hope it's nothing more than a passing indigestion. May the Lord cover him.

Quick update: Nick had a vasovagel episode due to a couple different things happening. I'll post more later, but he's fine now. Thank you for all your prayers.

Grateful to hear that Nick is okay.  I hope that a follow up with his doctor will help determine why he fainted as he did.  I will continue to lift up prayers for you all.  God bless!

The doc at the hospital said it was a combination of a bunch of factors that caused the fainting: he hadn't eaten or drank much the last few days because he wasn't feeling well, a hot shower, and low blood pressure in general (Nick is a bit of a stringbean). We were concerned it might've been a seizure, since Nick had a series of them when he was a newborn, but he didn't have the characteristic lethargy when he came to, that seizures tend to produce.

The doc asked if we wanted to do any further tests but we were comfortable with his conclusion since he was nearly certain it was a vasovagel incident.

Lori took him to his PCP today and he said the same thing.

So we are good. Thank you again for the prayers. God is good.

Ahhhhhh........    Big sigh out!   So very grateful that this is a one-time incident based on the ER doc's conclusions and the concurrence of Nick's primary doctor.
