Beautiful Maui, HI
#1
My wife and I just returned from a 10 day trip to Maui, HI to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.  We took our daughter and her husband and our 11 year old twin granddaughters.  Here are just a few of the pictures we took.  God's creation is certainly beautiful  Cool

View from our balcony.  The island in the distance is Lanai.

A white dove on our balcony.

Sunset from our balcony.

There was a full moon while we were there.  This is the "moonset" at around 5:30a

This is the crater of the volcano that formed the island of Maui.  It's at about 10,000 feet above sea level.

On top of the volcano looking the west.

Sunset from the top of the volcano.

Good stuff, Dave. You managed to avoid making it look like all the usual touristy stuff we see in Hawaiian pictures. What I wouldn’t give to visit a mountain top again…

Love the volcano shots. High-elevation visuals are really distinct and not an everyday sight.

Forgot to say congrats on making it 50 years.

I have to ask: did you hike up the volcano or was there transport? I've never been to Hawaii and I barely travel so I don't know how these things work.

We drove our rental car all the way up.  It was a 90 minute ordeal with many switchback curves; some with no guardrails.

Wow!  What a beautiful group of photos, dear friend!  How lovely it was that y'all were able to go and celebrate in such natural beauty!  Being able to see the mother turtles climbing up out of the ocean and trudging to their decided upon egg laying sites must have been amazing!

Grateful for you - what a blessing!!
