Really Big Change
#1
After discussing this between us, Veloyce and I agree that there is one more chapter ahead in our lives: We need to become mobile. It's an important part of our mission.

Now for the gritty details. We don't care if it's a motor home or a truck with a small trailer. Yeah, it has to be big enough to make a house for older people who can't crawl in and out of a camper van in bad weather. But we don't need a land yacht, either. I've done this before, having served in the military in maneuver units. I know how to downsize and give away a lot of stuff. It's not that hard. It would mean we could get by on less income.

It would also mean we could eventually come see some of you, providing fuel remains available.

There are surely a lot of other details, but the whole point is to get this out here for you to begin praying with us. We aren't interested in using credit to get this done. What makes this a miracle request is that someone will have to decide to let go of their mobile rig for us. We will have to take what comes. Pray with us.

Edit: This is not a rush thing. We anticipate this will be some months ahead of us, at the least.

This is definitely a big switch, Ed. It would make things easier in some way, harder in others. We will definitely pray about this.

I say yippie Hallelujah! So what condition are we praying for? If its a fixer upper could this be the one? Or does it not matter? Just curious about how to chat this out with the Father.
Funny, that Father of ours, my little trailer camper God got me got pulled into the yard today. I don't do holidays, but Mother's day. Really? Luke, the guy i bought it from, delivered it free. Hilarious ... Mother's day. Wink wink, Lord.

Wow!   That is a big change!  I cannot tell you how many times since Bryan passed away that I have thought of becoming mobile myself.  To see the parts of the country I haven't; to visit folks I can only dream about doing; to be free of all my "stuff"..........

I will definitely pray that Father will fit you with exactly what you need - and who best than He to do that for you?

I have no doubt you will keep us all posted.  Another adventure in the air!  Hallelujah.

My take is that this will have to be a miracle regardless of the condition in which we get it. You can study the market when you know you can pay for it, but miracles don't come with too many shopping choices. Further, we have no particular schedule to meet; this is simply what we believe the Lord wants us to ask Him for.

Glad the Lord delivered so nicely for you, Denise.

With all the miracles recorded in the Word and in our world today, He will provide as He sees fit as He always does......

If it is in His Plan, you will have one!

I'll keep this topic, and you and Veloyce, in prayer. Congrats on getting your next assignment/direction. Smile

When that happened to us (sensing we were to get ready to move) it was 5 years before the move happened.  We needed the time to downsize, and still didn't get as slim as we probably should be. Also, the house we eventually bought was not ready until then. Another of His saints were taking care of it. Smile  And they've become good friends to us.

I don't expect your transition to take 5 years, but I agree with you that it's not necessarily a "right now" thing, but "a thing that is coming, so begin preparations".

Love both of you. Would be a treat to get to meet you in person some time.

Update: Today we received a $1000 donation toward this project. There is also a promise of more to come, and I believe it will happen. We are socking it into savings to hold for some future date. Unless this snowballs in a month or less, we still figure we'll have another year leasing our apartment.

How wonderful!  And I know what you mean about in a month or less - may be when your lease renews, but nevertheless much is on the horizon - what, I do not know.  But I sense something coming.  I am not uneasy or fearful; my faith is far too great for that.

God bless you, Ed and Veloyce.  And He will........

That's great, Ed. Like Linda said, maybe we will meet face to face someday.
