Taking care of my mom when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's back in '06 was 24/7 at her home away from mine.  Luckily my daughter and her husband moved back from Boone into my Mom's house so I could come home at night.   I was so grateful for that.  It is very overwhelming and everyone's life becomes so much more challenging and difficult no matter how strong you are.  Caregiving is very difficult and takes a toll in many ways.  It is critical for your wife to have serious breaks from it often.  Take my word for it.   There are organizations with volunteers that will come in and help with that "break time".  Be sure to check into it.

In the meantime, i will definitely beseech Father to reach His big arms down and hold you all up and give you all that you need for this!

Boone, I went into Boone Walmart around noon today. Inside I was ebullient because I remembered the words to Gaither Vocal Band song lead sung by Guy Penrod "On the Authority" I believe it's called. A happy song, I was wearing my "Y'all need JESUS" t shirt so I deemed it entirely appropriate to sing that song, kick my heels and skip down the aisles like a dang fool. I made a lot of folks from one to ninety two smile and share my joy. They may not have been quite sure why they were all of a sudden happy but, I did. I walked out into a monsoon. It did not dampen my spirits merely watered them.

Ha ha!  In my mind's eye, i can see you scampering down the aisles.
