Excellent shot. The coloration for sunset indicates a high pressure zone somewhere just west of your location. A high pressure ridge holds lots of particles that scatter the blue part of the spectrum and lets the red pass through. It typically heralds good weather for the next day. In your case, there's a high pressure dome over Nebraska this morning and the low-pressure cyclone has been pushed up north of the Great Lakes. You get a cold front today, but rain is out in front of it. It's got a high pressure ridge behind it, so the weather should stay clear for you. Me: I'm getting rain all day today.
