Nothing Like It
#3
Mmm...definitely a movement of the Spirit. I recently started in Genesis with the intent of working through the OT. I've done it before following the ubiquitous "read the Bible in a year" plan . This time my intent is to delve deeply with an eye on the ancient cultural assumptions it was built on and sifting the western junk out. The meaning and working of the faith of the people involved will be an important part of my project. I will be heavily reliant on the HS's help. As with all my projects it will haphazard, bursts of creative activity followed by droughts. Considering how I do things it will continue until an "Eureka" moment when everything becomes clear at which point I'll stop and move on to the next thing. This is why I was a poor student and will never be a scholar. But, as of now it's my main learning objective.
