How many times, I've lost track but, why can everyone but me post pictures?

Just checking to see if I can do it right now. This is an old paste-up my wife kept while I was away at Army Basic Training, showing me after and before (in that order).

1. Click attachment at the bottom.
2. Hit the right buttons and then Browse your file system and pick out the picture.
3. Upload the picture.
4. Select the item listed below the attachment bar and "insert into post."
5. Should see square brackets around "attachment=x" (x being the number higher than 5, which is mine).

What part of this failed for you? Jay may have to tweak something.

Iain, that's how you would probably do it. I do a different method, where I upload the photo to my blog and reference that URL.

Here's 3 screenshots. You have to attach the file, then actually "Insert Into Post" after it's attached. Then it'll show up like Ed's did. The "Insert Into Post" button actually doesn't give any feedback that it's been added. There's no click state or message or anything. It confused me and I deal with user experience issues everyday. That should go on my "elder do" list.

That insert into post is not on my screen. I can choose the file, a picture. It shows up "XLH1000. jpg" across from it is add attachment. That's it my screen doesn't look like your screenshot, Jay. If I tap add attachment, it takes a long time and when I check it, there is a yellow rectangle above my message with red script saying the file is too large. Max 500 kilobytes, that's really small ain't it? I posted the same picture on FB last week with no trouble at all.

500k is way too small, yes.

Are you on your tablet when you do this? I know sometimes the buttons are goofy on smaller viewports.

I can look into this tonight to see what's going on.

Yes, a tablet is all I have. It says it's a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017).

Try again. I upped the limit on the different image file attachments. I think you couldn't "insert into post" because the attaching was block from the size limit.

I never ran into that issue because I never attached photos, only referenced them from my blog.
