Question for forrealone re: vitamins
#1
Linda - I was going to PM you, but I thought it would be good to keep it public.

I'm currently taking vitamins for immunity: one vitamin that has C, D3, zinc, elderberry, etc. One dose is three (rather large) pills, and the directions say to take all 3 at breakfast. I've been taking 2, because 3 tend to give me stomach pains. Sometimes taking 2 does if I don't eat enough, so I make sure I do. My question is, do you think there would be an issue if I took 1 with every meal instead of 3 at one meal? I've read different opinions online but I wanted your advice.

Thanks.

Hmmm.  Let me first start off with I am NOT a vitamin/supplement/pill expert in any way shape or form.  I get my nutrients primarily either through the food I eat or through plant extracts or tinctures.  The food that I eat is intentional to ensure that I get all the nutrition that I personally need.  Over the years, I have learned to "listen" to my body and watch for reactions both negative and positive to what I put in my mouth.  And, as a result I 'know" my body, what it needs and what to do when things go "off" with it.

Each of our bodies is unique, both chemically and biologically.  I mean unique in the literal sense.  What works for one of us may or may not work for another.  The Lord created everything we need from sunshine to fresh air to all the plants that grow around us.

The only thing I can say to you with pretty good confidence is that only you can answer the question.  It is one of the learning things for you to do for your body.  It may be that you need to try a different combination or form of supplementation where you have an all good response.  When your body reacts negatively to anything you put in your mouth, listen to it.  Find what works for you.

Gosh, I can't imagine what I must sound like.....  best intentions I have though, I can assure you!

Linda... Excellent advice and there is much truth in your response. I can testify that I have had to pay close attention along with prayer to my diet and supplements to discern what works for my body. Thanks for your open and honest sharing!

Thanks, Linda! No need to be apologetic; your advice is your advice. Still going good with the 2 capsule doses, fyi. I will keep going unless something changes for the worse Smile
