I wanna just let everybody know the Father has really been enriching my prayer life. It is subtle and hard to describe. But it was probably a couple of years into my awakening I started wondering about what’s prayer all about. I wanted to have time to really get a handle on prayer. So I asked God for help on all that. And slowly over about 5 years, now that I think about it, He has answered those requests and is doing soooo much more in my prayer life. Just look how He led me to you guys here. And He has carved out a bunch more time for prayer and quiet with Him.
I just wanted Him to get Him some cheers and hallelujahs for all the greatness He is and all the great things He does. Woo Hooo!!!

There's nothing can compare with worship and prayer in the Presence of God. Just when I think I'm at the pinnacle, another peak appears in the fog ahead. Good is soooo good!

I need to work on this. I've always had moments here and there, but I don't engage as much, or as deeply, I know I should. I thought I might start doing this at the gym: putting my earbuds in with no music, just so I can concentrate more inwardly. Not "inwardly" in the psychological sense, like just myself and my thoughts, but so I have little distraction. The only thinking I really need to do is quick math for adding/subtracting weights. The rest is "free time." I'll have a good 30 minutes to an hour of good solid prayer time a day. Pray for me (haha) as I try this option out in the next few weeks.

Back when I went to a gym, I would wear earplugs to keep out the overly loud radio they played. These days, I'm pretty spoiled. I'm often in a position to focus inward and pray out loud. It's like an extended conversation, as if He's a friend walking next to me.

The radio is always on at my gym, too, and it's normally music I don't like. Oftentimes it's pretty profane, so blocking it out in any way is a benefit, even without considering the prayer angle.

Jay that sounds like a super prayer plan. I just had the hardest time in the beginning with just what to say. I was so excited about my new life in Christ and I felt like awkward and fumbly. I really wanted to make the Father proud of me because of the awesomeness that I get to come before His very throne with all that is on my mind. I mean that Hebrews 10 just floored me when I got to meditating on it. So I read up on all the prayers in the Bible and read Matthew Henry’s method of prayer, it was fancy written but it loosed some deep well of emotion in me that made a breakthrough of new light. I try to begin with adoration for the glorious Being Who holds our breath in His hands and pray with all my heart for my enemies. That praying for my enemies first has really been doing some serious help with the warfare on the inside.
Jay I will be praying for your prayer progress and please keep me in your prayers for my progress.
Yay!
