The Evangelical establishment says that the scribes of the old testament used "heart" to mean mind because they were too unsophisticated to understand the role of the brain. I contend that Scripture means heart when it says it. I also contend that people have known what the brain does since Grok smote Ug on the head with his club and made Ug goofy for the rest of his days. Trepanning was going on since there was people with skulls to put holes in. When I read the Scriptural Wisdom books, I know what they mean in my heart at a level light years above my head. I thank y'all for helping me reach a point where I "know" enough to act. I don't know where my path leads but, I can recognize the signs "good enough" to see it, the path. Blessings to thee my covenant kin.

It's funny that secular scholars say that heart means heart in ANE literature.
