Rebellious teenz

How does a child rebel when their father is the Rebel. You become straight. So there you go folks. You want your teen to behave, be the Rebel. A consistent diet of anti everything rants produces a conventional kid. At least, it worked for me. There is a tongue in cheek element to this so don't be takin' it too seriously.

That's certainly one way of going about it, assuming the teen in question is rebellious in the first place. It may exacerbate it, or they may simply join in with you. Raising kids is more of a crapshoot than a lot of people may think. History is filled with stories of children following in their parents' footsteps, or turning out completely different. You could do everything "right" and they could still stray from teaching. There's no guarantees with human behavior sometimes.

Quite so, Jay. The best we can hope for is that our children simply discover who they are, whatever that might mean.
