Sad day
#1
Hi y'all

This past weekend, my daughter's husband brought the last straw for the camel's back.  The family had gone to GA and while there, her husband ransacked her purse and took all/most of her pain meds.   He is an alcoholic and Rx pain med addict.  He has even driven drunk with the children.  This is nothing new, but for her, it was the last straw.

This weekend, unless miracles take place, he is moving out.   They married in 2000 and have their son who will be 7 next month.  They took custody of my other two granddaughters in 2012.  They are 9 and 13.

Her husband has been through rehab before but he just can't / won't stop.  I am so very sad.  Since I myself have been through this when my girls and I left their dad back in '91,  I am very aware of the challenges, heartbreak and emotional upheaval that she and the children will be faced with.

Please pray for both parents that Father will bless them with strength, courage, wisdom, compassion and everything they will need to get through this.  The children will need His love and support to help them understand and persevere.

Thanks!

The mystery of self-destruction confounds us all. We pray the Lord bless and restore what He has left for the remaining family.

What a terrible situation. Will pray today and tomorrow at our weekly corporate prayer-fest.
