I'm not so hung on myself or Father's Day in general to really take it so seriously. It's an excuse to have a cookout for me, basically. But going to church and having the pastor exacerbate the battle between the sexes, almost going so far as to backhandedly insult all the dads in the congregation, was too much for me.
The absurd sermonizing probably got worse. I wouldn't know because Mrs. Break and I walked out early to clean the house and get started on making some food. That seemed a lot more useful and important than listening to a pastor bitch about the latest media outrage.
Starting to think "church" isn't for me.
