OK earthquake?
#6
Yeah, earthquakes was one of my specialties when I taught Geography. I spent years reading the entire massive bookshelf produced by the scientific surveys of the Great Alaska Earthquake in the 1960s. I even understood some of what I read Wink .

On the one hand, one end of the Humboldt Fault is close by, and it has been activated by fracking, but the state cracked down on it, so that has been reduced lately. On the other hand, the weakening of earth's magnetic field is generating a lot of unusual seismic activity. I feel certain this is connected to the latter.

And yes, we have a platform bed with a massive thick foam mattress. It's actually on the cheap end of what's available, but we love it. We can't even feel each other moving much lying side by side. Keep in mind, I'm not a lightweight by any stretch of the imagination. So, it would have to be a really hard shake to wake us up with noise more than movement.
