That's a good point, and I don't think I've noticed latency because I've never lived anywhere where there wasn't the "fat pipes" that you mention. There are some rural spots here, when driving back from Elena's school, where I don't have a great network signal...but that's a different network. I wonder if those rural spots have similar wifi issues, but probably not. They're sandwiched between urban areas, not terribly remote.
