Latest update on Michelle - two blood clots in her lungs (pulmonary emoblisms) and a possible kidney stone (which she has had for years now) that may have migrated into and be blocking one of the kidney tubes. Tests still being done.
They ended up going to our hospital up the street. Still part of the University hospital system, but well, not as talented, so to speak.
Hoping she can be IV treated with a heavy dose of anticoagulant then sent home with meds to break up that clot - they do sometimes resolve on their own but with meds, that may speed up and/or help the process.
Being admitted to a hospital these days is not a good idea, especially for older folks (she will be 65 this year). I just spoke with a nurse friend of ours who said that doctors are hesitant to do so unless absolutely necessary because of all the sick people that are being admitted with various seasonal viral illnesses.
Thank you all for your prayers!!!
