This is a long video (almost an hour) that includes a lot of superfluous chatter, but it also provides some details you might not have heard before. I don't agree with James Corbett's ideas about activism and what we can actually do about the evil ruling elite, but I can appreciate his insights into how they operate and what they admit they are planning.
Summary of what caught my attention: There has never been a human government that didn't suffer from the determination of a ruling elite to decide what's best for us. They firmly believe they have every right to take control. The current crop of ruling elite in the West (neoliberal globalist flavor) have been planning for at least a century to replace all currency with a notional thing based in energy use. Your dollars and euros will be replaced with something based on "carbon credits". That it will be a digital currency means it will permit the most egregious forms of granular control over your access to and use of these credits.
Russia and China are already working on a similar plan, but with a different cultural value system behind it. Thus, the details will be different. The war is not upsetting to the underlying thrust of elite rule; the current warfare in Ukraine could easily serve merely as the excuse for how our Western elite wrap us in chains of slavery. They have been goading Russia and China into war for decades.
In other words, it confirms most of my previous speculation from another point of view.
