Quote:The best we can tell, it will be a micro-nova. Not enough to extinguish human life, but it will be enough to destroy civilization. That's because what comes with it is all that other stuff like the magnetic poles shifting, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and general crustal upheaval. It's all orchestrated by the Creator as something that comes in cycles. The last major upheaval was during the time of Noah.
Yeah, that's what I gather, too. It will be a 5 out of 10 in terms of destruction. Noah was a much lesser event in comparison, looking at what we know of the 12k year major cycle and 6k year mini disasters that happened in the midpoints. Noah was a mini disaster, though it could have been one of the more severe ones, making it a larger, more worldwide flood. I've read varying interpretations of the extent of the Noahic flood: from a deluge local to Noah, to something regional to the Middle East (Gilgamesh), all the way up to a worldwide scope (Ed, maybe you can help out here). I'm of the mind that it was worldwide but worse in some places than others.
From what I know, the Toba event was the worst of the 12k year disasters. See the "genetic bottleneck" section on that page. Interesting, though we are only looking at it much later. There's no real way of knowing
The flood aspect of all the disaster events is probably the most common; fault lines and volcanoes are only in certain spots, but water is everywhere and very "movable," so that would always our major concern.
