Blog - IainH - 08-02-2019 How does one start a blog? RE: Blog - Ed Hurst - 08-02-2019 Here's how I do it: 1. Explain to yourself why you need one. Decide how you expect to use it. 2. Pick a service; there are several free ones. However, the easiest by far is WordPress.com. Next easiest is Blogger.com (a Google product). There are other free services so just do a search for "free blogging platform" if you don't like either one of those. 3. No matter which one you choose, there are a bunch of default settings you might not like, so you'll need to go into it with the attitude that you'll figure it out as you go along. 4. Once you have it ready to roll, start writing and post something. Make it something you do regularly, at whatever interval suits your intent. 5. If you really intend to communicate, be aware of what makes it most attractive for others to read you blog. There's a bunch of nitty-gritty details like paragraph length, spacing, fonts, etc. If it's just a means of public journaling, those things may not matter much. RE: Blog - IainH - 08-04-2019 Thanks Ed for teaching me a valuable lesson.
"How about a sample of what you're thinking about with this silly notion of yours?" I dunno, maybe sorta. "Okay, Mr Iain, gather your thunks" who me, THUNKS? Do you have any idey whose brain we're tokken about? Hey, Hey! Knock it off you two. Yore Sensei the Honorable Dr Ed Hurst didn't say "are you not well? Have you given leave of your senses? You're a drone, drones lack college education so, you may have good intentions but, you clearly lack the mental capacity to write a blog, it's far too complex for the likes of you, why don't you go over there and play with your Mega Bloks and leave the blogging to your intellectual superiors. It's hard to accept I know but, maybe you should consider something more in line with your station; like a stale urine collector. Besides, no ones interested in opinions of the lower orders. Did you not read in A Course in Christian Mystism that a graduate degree is necessary to understand our high ideas? Just go back to the menial tasks that a slave is capable of" The nerve of some people!?

Especially the Scarecrow: "If I had a brain, I'd suggest [a clever solution here], but I don't, so..." It's a lot of self-reflection without intending it to be so. You don't need to justify a blog, per se, but I think Ed was suggesting that it's good to think whether or not a blog would satisfy would scratch whatever itch you're feeling. RE: Blog - Ed Hurst - 08-04-2019 Comical, Iain. When do you start blogging? RE: Blog - IainH - 08-05-2019 (08-04-2019, 05:44 PM)Ed Hurst Wrote: Comical, Iain. When do you start blogging? Aw man, you got me. An old tradition that goes back to when we painted caves in the dark. Fake out your buddies. I reckon I'll have to try harder. I think I'll call my activity "splogging" sporadic scribblin's when I git fired up about the latest outrage committed agin the culture of my people. If you examine what most people in my area would call "old timey ways" you find an essentially non-materialistic society and those aspects, I guess you could say the core of Traditional Southern Culture is unique and worth saving. I'm a Southern Partisan, duh. The purpose of RF and my calling to defend my people are different things and should be kept separate. There will be some bleed betwixt the two simply because it's part of who I am. I hold Southern Independence to be the number one, main most important thing there is, with the exception of Jesus. The latter ought to be properly understood as a given, too obvious to note. I ain't got no idey of when to start or what to say, no worries, I know He who do. "Do we get to win this time sir ?" John Rambo " Of course, Johnny we're a franchise now. In 30 years they'll call it branding and the Imperial Union will be glorified in twelve sequels" Major Troutperson* By RAMMMBO!!!! First Blood Part 12 the SJW's have succeeded to gender neutralize the name Troutman. PPS. In answer to your question, Ed. "No idea, I just have to man my assigned position under I receive orders to move out" RE: Blog - Ed Hurst - 08-05-2019 Please note that at least a couple of your brothers are standing by to help you get past the less familiar parts of the task. We believe in you because we believe in Jesus.
