Fasting for Wednesdays - jaybreak - 05-17-2019
Going to start officially mentioning fasting for Wednesdays, to accommodate our corporate prayer.
Obviously, tere's no obligation to take part; we should all listen to God's placement of personal conviction on if/how we should participate.
I recommend not mentioning if we actually do take part, since I see the act as response between yourself and God, but I obviously can't (nor want) to police anyone on the matter.

I'll have to play it by ear, personally, but I approve of the notion. There's too little genuine sacrifice of that sort in American religion.

I agree, although sometimes I think it's a failure of leadership to inspire things like this, versus people not being willing.

On a whim, I looked up Moonpies on wikipedia, and the Moonpie/RC Cola combo is an actual regional thing. Huh.

I had liked it, too. I had some ramune a few weeks at a convention, and it reminded me of Crystal Pepsi because of how mildly sweet it was.

Also, my maternal grandparents moved to Seminole, OK from Hot Springs, AR and brought Double Cola and Ski with them. They went back and picked up more from time to time; I recalled drinking Ski a good bit during my childhood visits. It's generally not sold west of the Mississippi River. It's a big deal in TN where it comes from; we ran into it there when we passed through on our way home from Europe.
