Just a short thought item...
Humans desire stability and peace by instinct. However, I reiterate the teaching that humans cannot grasp the nature of the peace they desire nor the path for it without the Holy Spirit. Humans on their own can neither recognize nor resist the lies of the Devil regarding that instinct for peace. Thus, the only question for us is how well they go about conducting the inevitable conflicts.
In that vein, I note that I often bounce things off Brandon Smith of Alt-Market fame. He has a great analysis, but his commitments are predictably worldly. For once, he posted something with which I totally agree, simply because he doesn't try to offer a solution, only explains the problem: The “Monkey Wrench” Sabotage of America Begs for an Authoritarian Response.
He warns that our society and government are unable to think smartly about the efforts of the Progressives to derail Trump's agenda. If there is any effective response at all from the administration, it will be harsh and destructive. This is exactly what I am expecting.
