Prayers for Mercy - Ed Hurst - 01-15-2025

You'll see this on Crez tomorrow, but Veloyce and I believe that the sorrows we foresaw coming to the US prior to Trump's inauguration ceremony was both the fires in the Los Angeles and the awful cold front predicted to cover most of the US starting this weekend. I'm praying that the Lord will be merciful to our community in particular, wherever you folks are. We have good reason to seek special favor from the Lord because we keep His Covenant.

Interesting. We are getting intermittent snow...not a lot, I don't think...and we'll definitely feel the cold bite as well.

Last night after I got home from the office, I was texting a friend and mentioned how I love getting home because my apartment feels especially warm during a cold or rainy day. It's such a basic, uncomplicated thing, but it shows to me how God takes care of family.

Snow forecast here on Sunday. Daytime lows in the mid 20's. Christian friends in the mountainous part of NW VA looking at snow with daytime highs in the teens.

The problem I have is living in a rural county where the power is the first to go off, and the last to be restored.

But God has always been gracious to us.

Amen. The thing that haunts me is all those homeless people I've seen along my bike rides. We expect real temps in the low 20s, with windchills below zero. Still, God is good to His children.
