At last! - forrealone - 12-08-2024 For the first time in months I think, I have an entire day and night to be at home. So therefore I was able to light my wood stove. It's going to be warm again starting tomorrow through Wednesday. So I thought I would get a fire in while I could. I am so grateful and excited!! Hallelujah RE: At last! - Ed Hurst - 12-08-2024 The simplest things can help heal and restore so much of what we lose every day. It's a blessing to remember who we are by finding a restful and familiar context. RE: At last! - forrealone - 12-08-2024 Amen to that, dear Brother! Hope to talk to y'all soon.... RE: At last! - jaybreak - 12-12-2024 Linda - how are the temps down there now? Doesn't seem terribly warm, but it's nighttime now and I don't know what you consider hot/cold. RE: At last! - forrealone - 12-12-2024 I consider cold anything that feels cold to me and same thing about heat. I have lived in places where if it got above freezing during the winter, we hung our laundry out in the sun and exclaimed "it's beach weather!" But seriously, my NC side of me says: When the days are in the forties or colder and the nights are below freezing, it's cold. The coldest I remember it being here was many years ago and it was 8*. Pipes froze because when houses are built, they only dig down to the "freeze line", which around here is about 10". Up PA way, it's probably more like 25". I don't get hot very easily, but if its in the mid-90's or higher, I might get uncomfortable. I don't know if I answered your question or not, tbh. I'm tired and the brain is kinda duh right now!
