Aspirin helps prevent platelets from collecting together and forming a clot.  Wink  I will be on it for 3 to 6 months, during which time I will have 2 more CT angiograms to ensure that whatever is going on in my carotid arteries is either not getting worse or has gone away. In the interim the aspirin will help prevent clotting.

During my research I read that is the first line of defense unless whatever is going on is more serious and requires more intense treatment. In my case , the Lord blessed me with nothing like that.
