Context: It's typical for me to suffer a spring allergy attack. This one has been just a tad unusual. It hit my chest first, then grabbed my sinuses. The sinus trouble eventually went away, mostly. However, for the past week+ I've been dealing with dried thick mucus still clinging to my bronchial tubes. So I've been hacking this stuff up slowly -- very slowly. Whenever something in my throat runs across that "cough button" I'd have a fit of uncontrollable coughing.

Last night, in the midst of on such fit, I pulled a muscle in my abdomen. It's right at the bottom edge of my rib cage on the left side. Now, every cough, sneeze, nose blowing, and even my farts hit me with a stabbing pain right there. Yes, this is almost comical, so I'm not whining, but it makes it really hard to sleep. Pray with me, folks.

There has been an epidemic of sickness this past cold/flu season that leaves the sufferer with a lingering bronchial thick pasty "phleem". I've had it since late fall! One coughing fit per day hocks up one vile secretion. The early ones were gray and that was 14months after I quit the gaspers which shows how long the effects of smoking last. My wife works in urgent care, she provided the testimonial information. I don't know how much data the CDC collects on non-flu upper respiratory infections. My Dr says it's a particularly nasty strain of common cold. My heart says judgement so, yeah it gets us too but, I'd say with less severity than those outside the shelter of Grace.
I pray for and send a "package" of the gift of healing that the Lord occasionally grants me the honor of sharing, I'd have to be face to face to know for sure whether it is the right action. He has granted me the gift of sharing the blessings of Shalom at my own discretion, which is a high honor and responsibility enough and we all get that gift when we are weaned and start eating spiritual steak or broccoli if we're vegan. So consider yourself Shalomed.
That was quick; I got better overnight. My sinuses have quit signalling irritation and my pulled stomach muscle is complaining a little less.
